Advances in dental technology are
continually making it easier for patients to receive dental
care with little or no discomfort. A new delivery system for
anesthetic called the WAND removes a lot of the discomfort of
injections by using computer chips to monitor the speed and
pressure of the delivery of anesthetic. Impression material
that used to gag and disgust patients because of smell and taste
and the length of time in the mouth has now become almost comfortable
with little or no taste or smell and two minute hardening. Computers
in each treatment room provide the opportunity for patients
to access their treatment, learn about what is recommended,
and consider options. |
